Doctor of Behavioral Health

Tracy utilizes the latest behavioral evidence-based approaches to deliver patient-centered care in an integrative functional medicine setting. Tracy’s goal is to promote holistic care by bridging the gap between mental health and physical health.

Tracy obtained her Master of Social Work degree from University of Southern California and her Bachelors in Psychology from California State University San Marcos. Tracy is a Marine Corps Combat Veteran. Her experience started in 2006, while serving in the military. She was assigned as the Battalion Uniformed Victim Advocate (UVA) assisting sexual assault victims and the Suicide Intervention & Prevention Instructor Trainer. At times, her duties included on-site victim response and suicide negotiations.  She currently works for the Department of Veteran Affairs providing as a licensed mental health therapist in TX.

Over time, Tracy observed how chronic stress/trauma can greatly impact the physical body. Many times, traditional medicine will tell patients there is “nothing wrong, it’s all in your head.”  Unexplained illnesses are often a result of untreated stress/trauma in the body. Tracy aims to provide wholistic healthcare that treats both body and mind in collaboration with Dr. Julia Kelley.

Tracy specializes in trauma/stress related somatic disorders and Psychophysiologic Disorders (PPD).  She is a level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), Certified in Thought Field Therapy (TFT-Algo), and EMDR-IA trauma trained. Tracy has been trained in the nationally recognized Certified Brain Injury Specialist course to better assist patients suffering from emotional liability due to traumatic brain injury.
